Wood therapy

Today there are several methods to treat cellulite problems, improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. One of these increasingly popular treatment methods is maderoterapia.

Consists in work directly on the affected areas with wooden instruments specially designed to eliminate cellulite and fat deposits in different parts of the body.

It can also be used on the face and neck, thanks to different wooden utensils specially designed for the gentle treatment of these delicate areas.

Wood therapy

This massage technique is originally from Colombia and is characterized by being 100% natural and free of contraindications.

Wood therapy is a type of deep massage that:

  • Stimulates the lymphatic system
  • Eliminate toxins
  • Accelerates metabolism
  • Tightens the skin

The pressure level is adjusted according to the area of the body and the type of cellulite. The tools are made of beech wood and have an anatomical shape that adapts perfectly to the body.

Wood therapy works best on fat and cellulite in areas such as the abdomen, thighs and hips.

The treatment is suitable for different degrees of cellulite, from the dreaded orange peel to edematous cellulite.

  • 100% natural and non-invasive
  • It has no contraindications and is suitable for all adults (should not be used in pregnant or lactating women)
  • Results are fast and visible
  • Supports the body's natural detoxification processes and removes toxins
  • Combats fluid retention, improves circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • Reduces cellulite and improves the appearance of the skin
  • Reduces the circumference of the waist and acts directly on the fat deposits of the abdomen, hips and thighs
  • Tightens the skin of the face and promotes the production of elastin and collagen
  • Defines the legs and arms and tightens the buttocks and thighs

Wood therapy is usually performed with more than 10 different wooden devices. Each one has a specific function for that part of the body in which it is to be applied.

Here are some of them:

  • Cob roller: has a rolling function and allows a deeper penetration into the skin tissue. Activates the circulatory and lymphatic drainage system, stimulates the peripheral nervous system and facilitates the elimination of adipocytes.
  • Drain Roller - This handy wooden device has a grooved rolling head and is used to effectively drain body fluid.
  • Modeling board: This wooden element is used as one of the last steps of the massage and has a scraping function. Drains fat from adipocytes and shapes the figure.
  • Swedish glass: Thanks to its suction effect, this device reduces localized fat and sculpts various parts of the body such as the waist and abdomen. The vacuum draws the fat that has been shed from the connective tissue to the surface.

The wood therapy massage is almost always divided into three phases.

The session begins with a massage with special essential oils that prepare the skin.

This is followed by a lymphatic massage to stimulate the metabolism.
In the third phase, a specific massage is performed with a wooden roller to activate the circulatory and lymphatic systems.

Depending on the skin and fatty tissue of the patient, other ribbed rollers are used with more or less intense pressure. With the molding table, the fluids and fat accumulated in the body are drained towards the nearest nodal zone. The Swedish cup is then used to locate and treat the dissolved fat.
